eat ’em right out of your dad’s hand!
Yesterday we went to lunch at our favorite Thai restaurant with Dad and Uncle Brandon. G enjoys the noodles now too! After lunch I took her to Barnes & Noble to visit the kids section. She loved it! There were lots of colorful books to look at and mini benches to climb on! It made me happy knowing my daughter enjoys the bookstore as much as I do :) I even bought a couple Christmas presents for her.
(Please note the pink camo crocs she is wearing)
This morning we went on the patio to enjoy tea and toast and to meet the new puppy living next door.
Her name is Bailey and she’s great with kids. She’s part Australian shepherd and part golden retriever – the 2 types of dogs I know I’m allergic to. Haha. Awesome.
She is super cute though!
We are enjoying the gorgeous Florida weather on this fine holiday!
We watched Daddy, Uncle Cody, and Uncle Michael play basketball while Poppa played guitar for us outside.
We’ve also discovered G loves pumpkin pie as much as Mommy does…
She was practically attacking me for more pie!
Found this hiding at the back of the garage today. Dusted it off and brought it out for G to ride in. It’s a gorgeous day for a drive!
G’s new favorite thing is being on Dad’s shoulders. It scares me half to death most of the time. I tend to follow right behind, arms splayed, shrieking, “Be careful! Be careful! No fancy moves, Joshua!!!”
It’s a good thing G has a dad to do fun “dangerous” things with her. It balances the very slight over protectiveness her mother may innately posses…
In the Words of G.
I got to see Poppa yesterday! We met for lunch, and he brought mom a cookie cake for her birthday today. He gave me frosting in a straw to suck on.
… I like Poppa :)
After lunch we took pictures with the animals.
I wasn’t too sure about them…
but Poppa told me everything was okay.
And I trust him…
he gave me frosting.
Why is it that kids are sweeter when they sleep? I swear I will still be taking pictures of G while she sleeps when she’s 18 years old.
She’s just so darn precious.
G is sporting her “I Voted” sticker today! As you can see she is waiting in suspense to see the results of the election.
In the words of G
Friday night I got my first taste of Christmas! Mom and Dad were helping select songs for the Christmas service at our church. To get in the Christmas spirit Mom hung pretty lights and colorful stockings, and everyone drank wassail! Well, I just ate my banana yogurt bites, but those are really yummy too! It got pretty late, so I fell asleep on Dad’s chest. I really like the way Daddy’s chest feels – it’s perfect for snuggling.
Saturday, I took a trip to the big city! Mom, Dad, and Brandon came with me. We went to a big mall where Uncle Brandon picked up his new iPhone. Then, he and Dad spent a really long time in some store sitting in these funny chairs.
I thought they were fun to ride in too! A lot more fun than my stroller. I sat in it some of the time, but mostly I like to be held.
After the big mall, we went to a giant Swedish furniture store. Dad and Uncle Brandon made a fun game of pushing me back and forth in the shopping cart. I liked that! Mom didn’t seem too happy about it though… I think she was scared we would break something or that I would get hurt. Silly Mom! She worries too much :)
But I know that’s just because she loves me!
We took multiple photos trying to get a decent shot to send to Aunt KeKe. As you can see the biggest challenge was our overwhelming desire to eat the paper. I thought it would be fun to show all the attempts. You can imagine how this whole scene played out: G no. G yucky. Don’t eat the paper. G! G! Look at mommy G! G no. That’s yucky. And on and on…
